The free Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme provides guidance on eating healthily, managing weight and being more active. It is a sustained lifestyle change programme, delivered locally, in local settings. Although the programme is normally delivered in groups at different times and locations, right now it’s offered over telephone or group video conference, or online through apps and websites.
Materials in this campaign area have been designed to help you communicate with people who are at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and therefore eligible for the programme, and with healthcare professionals who can refer into the programme.
Healthier You is a sister brand to One You, the adult health campaign from Public Health England.
Materials here can also be used to help you mark Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week, a Healthier You campaign which takes place in April each year. The campaign aims to raise awareness of:
